- To start tracking a book, copy the Amazon, Apple Books, Barnes & Noble, Books on Google Play or Rakuten Kobu URL of the book from your web browser.

- In the mobile app, you click the "plus" icon in the top right, paste the URL into the text input and click the Start Tracking button. In the web app, you paste the URL into text input located at the top and press your enter key on your keyboard.

- The app will then attempt to find the book on each of the retailer's global sites. As it progresses the app will highlight the search status as in progress, found or not found.

- When the rankings, ratings and reviews have be captured, the app will return to the list of the books that you're tracking with the new book added to the list.

- Tracking for a book can be disabled in the web app.

- The rankings, ratings and reviews for the days that tracking has been enabled will be retained in your account and can be used when charting the book in the web app.

- Tracking is disabled by clicking the "x" icon located in the top right of the books' "display card" in the filterable list.

- For books that you have disabled tracking (see "Disable tracking for a book" above), the tracking can be reenabled by showing disabled books (see "Show or hide disabled books" below) in the filterable list and then clicking the "plus" icon located in the top right of the books' "display card".

- Our servers are setup to capture rankings, ratings and reviews at least once a day and several times a day for books that have just been released.

- In the mobile app, you can pull or drag down the list of books to trigger a refresh that will get the latest rankings, ratings and reviews that we have captured.

- In both the mobile and web app, the books' "display card" shows when the rankings, review and ratings were last updated. To check and capture the current values, you can click the "refresh" icon located in the books' "display card".

- The list of books in the mobile and web apps can be filtered by retailer, the author, title, format or the retailer's inventory number (SKU) and/or by one of retailer's global sites. Updating the text input and selectors above the list of books will enable this filtering.

- The list of books in the mobile and web apps can be sorted by the date the book was published (from newest to oldest) or alphabetically (A-Z) by the title of the book. These options can be toggled above the list of books to enable the sorting. The default is to sort by the date the book was published.

- Disabled books are not included in the list of books in the mobile app.

- Disabled books can be included in the list of books in the web app. They are filtered out by default. Clicking the checkbox labelled "Show Disabled" will add your disabled books to the list of books.

- You can select a book to chart by clicking the toggle located in the lower right of the books' "display card" in the web app. Once selected, the toggle will indicate the colour that is used in the charts to represent the books' rankings, ratings and reviews values.

- By default, the charts will display the last 7 days of rankings, ratings and reviews.

- You can view up to 30 days of rankings, ratings and reviews in the chats by adjusting the slider to increase or decrease the number of days to chart.

- You can also compare the rankings, ratings and reviews of your books from the date they were published by selecting the "release date" toggle.

- Each book is ranked across several category on Amazon. By default, we chart the broadest category ("Paid in Kindle Store" or "in Books", for example). You can view narrower categories by clicking the "Rankings - ..." selector located at the top of the charts.

- Please note that you won't be able to compare the rankings for book that have different formats (paperback, Kindle, etc) as they won't be listed in the same category. The same also applies for book with the same format and different genres as, in the narrower categories, they are likely to be listed in different categories.

- All of the rankings, ratings and reviews that have been captured are always available to be exported and downloaded for use with other applications and/or for safe storage.

- The rankings, ratings and reviews can be downloaded by clicking the "download" icon in the top right of the web app.

- Once the data has been compiled, you will receive an email that contains links where data files can be downloaded from. The files can be downloaded up to 14 days after the email has been delivered.

- The data is formatted as comma-separated values (CSV) files and archived into ZIP files to allow for fast and easy downloading.

- We offer monthly or yearly plans for authors with a few or many books to track.

- Plans are priced by "book", where we define a "book" by the retailer's inventory number (SKU, or ASIN - Amazon Standard Identification Number in the case of Amazon) that identifies a single product on the retailer's website. The SKU or ASIN for a book listed on Amazon is in the Product details section of the book's page on Amazon.

- Authors will have different SKUs for each title and format (paper back, Kindle, etc). A single SKU is likely to be listed on more then one of the retailer's global sites, but only counts as a single "book" on Authicist.

- You can view your subscription plan in the sub-header of the mobile app and in the top right of the web app.

- Clicking the plan in the top right of the web app will open up a new window where you can update your subscription plan.

- Options will be limited by the amount of books you are currently tracking. If you would like to downgrade your subscription, you will need to disable tracking (see "Disable tracking for a book" above) on some books you are currently tracking until you are only tracking the number books allocated for the desired plan.

- If you are at the limit of your subscription and attempt to track a new book you will be prompted to upgrade your subscription. The mobile app will only advise on that an upgrade is needed. To upgrade, you will need to use the web app.
